Alter Ego Canopy Course

Saturday- Silver Course: Learn the essentials of canopy flight.  It’s a great foundation for all ranges of experience levels and is a huge stepping stone to advance your skills and comfort level under canopy.  From sharpening up your pattern and accuracy on landings, to learning all of the various ways to make inputs that allow you to have full control of your wing.  Get in depth knowledge and understanding for the different flight modes of a canopy and learn the all-important emergency maneuvers that can one day save your life.  This course will even get your USPA B License Canopy Card signed off.  This course builds the foundation for a long, safe, and successful skydiving career. Sunday- Yellow/ Orange: 

Yellow; This course continues to build confidence and precision following the Silver Canopy Course.  Learn about the types of weather phenomenon and how they affect your canopy during flight.  Also learn how utilize your harness and control your canopy with just a thought and truly become one with your parachute.  Always wanted to know what your body position does to canopy flight, and how much it affects it?  Find out in this course.  Finally, take a look at how the front risers affect the canopy and start picking up a little speed.  These advanced drills will give you a full understanding of what your wing is capable of. Orange: Round out your canopy skills with the Orange Course.  This course combines everything you have learned in the first two curriculums.  Worried about that first “off” landing.  You will learn everything you need to know about landing off the dropzone or in an unknown landing area.  Go much more in depth on pattern flying and continue to build pin point accuracy so you can nail that landing in a small backyard.  This course will also look into emergency maneuvers more in depth, turn reversals, dive recovery, and how to get yourself out of that bad situation you just got in.  Finally, master full control of your landings and how to avoid obstacles. We will challenge you with different drills near the ground in a safe controlled environment. This will give you the confidence you need to perform the maneuvers if you find yourself in an emergency situation. Orange Course
